Croatia
Croatia is a staggeringly gorgeous country with a beautiful coastline. Until recently, Croatia has been on the list of ‘underdiscovered destinations’ but at this point I would call it officially discovered. People love to explore the waterfalls and coastline during the summer months.
We finally visited Croatia this past summer after having it on our list fora long time. Our top tip for exploring this country is to visit during the shoulder seasons to avoid the crowds, especially in Dubrovnik.
Croatia at a Glance
Weather: Croatia experiences a diverse climate with significant regional variations. The coastal areas have a Mediterranean climate with mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. In contrast, the inland regions have a continental climate, with colder winters and warmer summers. Average temperatures range from 5°C (41°F) in winter to 30°C (86°F) in summer.
Best Time to Visit: The ideal times to visit Croatia are from April to June and September to October. During these months, the weather is pleasant, and tourist crowds are smaller. July and August are peak tourist months, especially in popular destinations like Dubrovnik and Split.
