We finally had the chance to explore Greece this past summer, after dreaming of visiting for years. We spent a full week touring the country, from the bustling streets of Athens to the serene beauty of the islands, and we could have easily spent another week discovering even more of what this incredible destination has to offer!

Weather: Greece boasts a diverse climate, with variations across its regions. Coastal areas enjoy a Mediterranean climate with mild, rainy winters and hot, dry summers. Inland, particularly in the mountainous regions, the climate becomes more continental, with colder winters and warmer summers. Average temperatures range from 10°C (50°F) in winter to 30°C (86°F) in summer, much like its Mediterranean neighbors.
Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit Greece is between April and June or September to October. These months offer pleasant weather and fewer tourists, allowing for a more relaxed experience. July and August are the peak tourist months, with popular spots like Athens, Santorini, and Mykonos seeing larger crowds.
Currency and Tipping: Greece uses the Euro (EUR) as its official currency. Tipping around 5-10% for good service is appreciated but not mandatory.
