When I started planning a trip to Voyaguers National Park with Freja, Finley, and some friends, I looked exensively on what part of Voyageurs to visit and where to stay on the first night of our visit. We ultimately selected Arrowhead Lodge MN based on the high value, location right on the lake and dining right on site.
We were also planning to rent a boat from Arrowhead Lodge, but ended up switching to renting on the Ash river to be closer to our campsite. We had a great experience at Arrowhead and want to share a review of the lodge and found is an excellent choice to a low to mid budget lodge near Voyageurs National Park

History of Arrowhead Lodge MN
Arrowhead Lodge is an historic lodge but has been under new ownership of Mike and Becky Daurio since 2019. You can see that a lot of work has gone into the lodge recently and there were many improvements including a gorgeous dock. You can get direct information by calling them at (208)875-2141.
Location and Surroundings
Arrowhead Lodge, nestled in northern Minnesota, is a wilderness lodge surrounded by the pristine beauty Voyageurs National Park, this cozy lodge is a gateway to an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise.
The lodge’s prime location provides guests with easy access to the gorgeous Kabetogama Lake, renowned for its fishing and water recreation opportunities. The lodge is on the southwest of the lake and is easily reached by car. From the lodge you are within just a few minutes drive of Voyageurs National Park.

Lodging
One thing we liked about Arrowhead Lodge is that there are mutiple options for lodging. You can stay in the historic lodge, in a cabin, or at one of the RV sites. We were originally set to stay in the lodge itself but ended up in one of the cabins that was perfect for our group of 6 people.
While the cabin was nothing fancy, it was comfortable and exactly what you would expect in a lakefront lodge.
Dining
There is a large dining area and bar at Arrowhead with an amazing porch overlooking the lake. We highly recommend eating here if you have the chance mostly for the view. The menu is ecclectic and we heartily enjoyed the food.
Dock and Marina
The dock is one of the highlights of the lodge. It is large, sturdy and the kids enjoyed watching the pelicans. You can also rent boats directly from Arrowhead lodge including kayaks. Many people staying at the lodge were fishing and they provice fish cleaning right on site.
Our Experience
We arrived at Arrowhead Lodge in the afternoon after a long drive and a few nights camping during August of 2023. We were happy to get showers and enjoy dinner overlooking the lake. We stayed in one of the cabins. While we enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, the next morning we got an early start to head to our campsite for the night so we made our own breakfast in the cabin before hitting the road.
We especially loved the view of the lake and the friendliness of the staff and owners.
